NOLA Bound

Hurricane Ellis came through New Orleans this weekend. She partied it up on Bourbon Street - too cold for her to get beads though.She had a great time seeing the sites, eating beignets, riding the "twolley", and seeing all of the weirdos that New Orleans has to offer. A drunk, homeless guy (that may be redundant :)) told her not to drink too much.

Her first tooth popped through this weekend as well. Lots of activity in an 8 month olds life.

Ellis needed a bath when we got home from crawling all over New Orleans.

Best Friends

We went to Indiana the first weekend in January to visit our friends Mitch and Christi. Ellis got to meet her new best friend Mary Evelyn. As you can see from the pictures Ellis is a camera ham and tried to let Mary Evelyn know she was running the show. Mary Evelyn didn't seem to care.

We had a great time visiting and we get to do it again in February!

Christmas and New Years!

Ellis had a great first Christmas. She got lots of cute clothes - typical girl - and some fun toys. Tickle me Ernie kinda scared her at first but she really likes watching him spin around in circles now.

If I do say so myself, Ellis looked like a Christmas doll in her dress for Christmas Eve service. I will post pictures later.

New Milestone

Ellis is sitting on her own. Though only a little at a time and mostly just resting on her belly but it's a step toward big girldom. She even sat to help put lights on the tree.

First Food

Ellis had her first cereal Saturday. Of course, only a half a teaspoon actually went down!

She liked it, she really liked it. She kept opening her mouth everytime the spoon came near.

Then we needed a bath.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Well, I did. Scott's was ok.

This was Ellis' first Thanksgiving and she watched more football than most people do in their whole life.

She had to be fair to both teams so she wore her MSU onesie the first half of the game and her Ole Miss onesie for the second half. And, as you know if you watched the game, she was wearing the wrong outfit at the end of the game. :)
